Asda has hired two new senior leaders in a bid to drive its growth ambitions for 2025.
Former Morrisons vice president of central operations Lauren Lepley will join the supermarket from early December.
The executive boasts more than 14 years of experience in the grocery sector, having previously held positions at Tesco and Morrisons.
Meanwhile, former M&S executive Mark Henry will join the team from January as its new vice president retail south, with responsibility for the supermarket’s southern store operations.
Henry brings more than 25 years of operational experience to Asda, having most recently served as group director of asset protection at M&S.
Both new hires will report to the grocery giant’s new chief operations officer Matt Heslop, who will join the business in January.
Asda chairman Lord Rose said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lauren and Mark to Asda. They both bring a wealth of retail experience and proven track records in delivering operational excellence.
“This will be invaluable as we strengthen our business and deliver our long-term growth ambitions.”
