Holland & Barrett is planning to extend its presence in travel hubs across the UK following the success of its existing stores.
It comes as the health and wellness retailer has been experimenting with new formats that can be launched in places such as stations.
Holland & Barrett has five shops it categorises in travel locations. It has also opened a new kiosk format, which is being trialled in Dublin’s Jervis centre.
Holland & Barrett property and format director Nick Gerrard told Retail Week: “Travel is an early opportunity for us. We’ve got some travel stores that have great cut-through in London – London Bridge has been hugely successful.”
“There’s a lot more travel locations than that we would love to get into if you can get the right offer.”
The retailer has also been expanding its shop-in-shop formats over the past year. It unveiled a new partnership with Next in July, which has seen it roll out into three of the high street giant’s stores.
