eBay launches first ever beauty advent calendar

Ebay has launched a beauty advent calendar for the first time, joining the likes of Liberty and Boots which both have popular versions.

In partnership with This is Beauty, all of the products have been sourced from surplus stocks that could have otherwise gone to landfill.

The online giant’s head of fashion Jemma Tadd said 100% of the proceeds will go directly to The Hygiene Bank, a charity dedicated to ending hygiene poverty across the UK.

The calendar is priced at £49.99 and includes 25 premium beauty products from brands such as Nuxe, Eve Lom and Elemis worth over £250.

Last week, eBay revealed it is scrapping selling fees for private sellers across all categories in a bid to compete with fast-growing rivals like Depop and Vinted.

The move means private sellers will no longer need to pay final value fees or regulatory operating fees when selling on the platform.
