Fenwick has unveiled its newly revamped and upsized beauty hall at its Newcastle flagship.
The space now spans across 26,000 sq ft, and features two new enlarged atriums, 56ft of facade windows looking out onto Northumberland Street, over 1600 sq ft of terrazzo flooring, and a 50-ft long fragrance bar.
Fenwick dubbed the new department as a “beauty oasis” with customers able to shop from 163 brands, such as Chantecaille, Charlotte Tilbury, Guerlain’s premium L’Art Matier, Hourglass and Le Labo.
The revamp has seen the addition of 23 new beauty counters, alongside a new fragrance edit concept, as it looks to offer customers “a destination shopping experience to meet all their beauty needs”.
Fenwick director of buying and merchandising Hazel Ayers said the transformed department was “the UK’s largest beauty hall outside of London”.
“This has been three years in the making with absolute dedication to detail, working with brilliant beauty brand partners and my talented Fenwick team,” she said. “The reimagined beauty hall demonstrates the continual evolution of the Fenwick in-store customer experience offering an unrivalled edit, innovative new products and brands, and expert beauty services.
“This evolution can be seen in all eight of our beauty halls in our stores nationwide. We look forward to welcoming customers in to experience these spaces and discover their new favourite beauty products at Fenwick.”
The department store is one of many in the sector that is revamping its beauty halls, with Selfridges unveiling its renovated department in May and John Lewis in the midst of overhauling the space at its Oxford Street flagship.
